Classic Minis of Northern France (CMNF) are enthusiasts dedicated to the classic mini originally designed by Sir Alex Issigonis; the mini was launched in 1959 and the successors to BMC carried out production until 2000. Considered the British equivalent to the VW Beetle, the Mini has been voted the most influential car of the 20th Century. The variations of the marque include the car, estate car, pick-up and mini-moke. Coopers and Cooper 'S', sportier versions were added later. The novel and progressive technical innovations resulted in minimal overall dimensions, yet provided maximised space for both passengers and luggage. During the 90's Rover produced an updated Mini car with better specification in style, performance engines and luxurious fittings and comfort. Comprehensive history of the Mini can be obtained via Wikipedia. Click here for information on the process, costs and legislative requirements of importing a Mini to France from within the EU. |
